Food and wine as body and soul – the new wine-pairings : pizza and wine.

 

Wine and cuisine of excellent quality – perhaps this is alliance for which the ‘bel paese’ is famous all over the world. By exporting its top quality wines in  many countries abroad, Vignarosa acts as spokesman for this binomial, giving customers helpful hints on how to serve food and wine together and also pizza and wine.

“For a few years now the idea of serving wine with pizza instead of the usual beer has been making headway. In our position as producers obviously we can only approve of this novelty, even though it has to be said that combining the two is not always easy and directly concerns the ingredients used for the pizza topping. One combination that we recommend trying is definitely the rosé spumante Brut Amorino with a classic pizza that is not too savoury, while with regard to combining wine and food, we suggest serving the spumante Chardonnay Brut Calliselle with a gilthead or sea bream ‘al cartoccio’ (baked in foil in the oven)”.
